This is the second and last part of this story. I put some throwaway characters here because I thought of maybe doing a follow-up story involving them.
***
Danny loved observing Angel as she planned their wedding, and she seemed to be enjoying it. Her best friend agreed to make some of the decorations and help with refreshments. Her mother and his father would officiate the nuptials. His sister was honored when she was asked to be a bride’s maid. To make the wedding homier and welcoming for everyone, they decided to be married in Tennessee in Danny’s hometown.
Angel tried to act calmer than she actually was, but the fact was, she was nervous. She was more stressed out than she let on, so when her friend, her mom, and his sister all decided to help with the plans, she was able to finally breathe. They helped her pick out her wedding colors, dress, shoes, cake, bouquet, bridal veil, and even her garters. All Danny had to worry about was his tux and her ring, which was stressful enough for him. That stress was eased when he found out from Angel’s best friend what her dream ring was and the ring seemed to call out to him as he went shopping for it one day.
~~Danny was out, and a little disappointed that the right ring hadn’t captured his attention when he was out. She wasn’t the type to throw hints or demand something expensive. Hell, she’d have taken a pink sapphire or cubic zirconia from a department store, and treated it like rare crystal. When he passed a high-end jewelry store, he saw it. It was a pink heart-shaped diamond flanked by smaller white diamonds on either side, on a yellow-gold band. He walked into the store and asked to see it. He was glad that one day in passing, he commented on how thin her fingers were, and made it seem like a playful joke, asking her what sized ring she wore.
“What? A size one, probably!” He kidded with one of his cutest dimpled grins.
She giggled and playfully popped his shoulder, “As a matter of fact, I wear a size seven-and-a-half, smarty britches!”
“Yeah, right! In shoes, maybe!” He teased.
She rolled her eyes, and with the sweetest smile, retorted in her cute Southern accent, “Oh, hush you!”
He relived that sweet memory as he took out his wallet and retrieved his platinum card, he was glad she hadn’t really thought twice about the playful way In which he found out her ring size so that her engagement ring would fit perfectly. To her, it was just one of the many ways he could make her laugh. Angel, meanwhile, already had Danny’s ring. She was in love with him for years and bought it well before she even met him. She didn’t stop to think whether or not it would fit him. All she knew was it was the perfect ring for him, and she wanted him to have it. Whenever she looked at that ring, she envisioned sliding it unto his finger. Her heart told her the ring would be a perfect fit.~~
They decided to get married in early December. They wanted to be married their first Christmas together. It didn’t matter that they had only met eight months before. All that mattered was they were in love and didn’t want to wait any longer than they had to. She was thirty-three-years-old, and he was forty-two. When people get older, they don’t have to wait as long to test if what they feel is love or not. When they’ve had the life experiences, and in their cases, past failed marriages to tell them the difference, they were confident enough to know that what they were feeling was real.
That night, his kids were with their mom, and hers were out with friends, and they would all be gone the entire weekend. Danny and Angel had both houses to themselves for once, but she decided to cook dinner at his. He was a little nervous but excited at the same time. She was in his every waking thought, and in his dreams at night. The thought that she felt the exact same way for him, and even before they’d even met only proved to touch his heart even more. He was with his former wife for a lot of years before he decided to marry her. They got along better as boyfriend/girlfriend than they did as husband and wife. With Angel, it felt different as if it was his life’s goal to marry that particular woman, or everything else he’d achieved in his life up until that point would mean literally nothing. While they talked and shared a spaghetti dinner in his rec room, Danny asked her if she’d ever thought about remarrying.
Her heart skipped a beat, but not wanting to jump to any conclusions, she said “It’s crossed my mind a time or two. I suppose I wouldn’t mind giving it another try.”
He looked at her and saw in her eyes that despite her matter-of-fact tone, and the nonchalance in her attitude, she desperately hoped that he was asking that particular question, just out of the clear blue sky, for the benefit of making her his wife.
She looked at him, then shyly away, not wanting to appear too eager, but unable to let the look of complete adoration fade from her eyes.
He took her plate and then hers and sat them on the coffee bursa escort table, then took her hand while sinking to a knee. While looking in her eyes, he opened the ring box but didn’t say a word.
The look in Angel’s eyes went from confusion, to shock, and then understanding when she saw the ring, she looked into his eyes, and he smiled. Tears fell from her eyes and with a smile, she nodded her answer.
He slid the ring on her finger and pulled her to him on the floor, and they kissed. Though he didn’t speak a word, he didn’t have to. It was the sweetest proposal that Angel could think of. Even being asked in Venice, or on the Eiffel Tower couldn’t compare. Even though, both could totally be pulled off in Vegas.
November was filled with joy, anticipation, and endless excitement for the wedding that was less than a month away. The days were filled with phone calls, dress and shoe fittings, airplane and hotel reservations, and confirmations for the church, and ballroom rental for the reception. Being southern, they decided on a barbecue dinner with classic barbecue sides. They were both hopeless chocoholics, so the cake would be chocolate. The middle tier would be white with white icing for those who didn’t care for chocolate, but the top and bottom tiers would be friggin’ chocolate! They didn’t drink, so the guests would just have to accept soda, punch, and juice with no alcohol. They could get their own drinks elsewhere later. The wedding wouldn’t be too big or lavish, as the couple only wanted friends and family to be there.
They grew more anxious with each day that passed. Preparations had been made in Tennessee for the impending festivities, and they made preparations at home, slowly moving Angel’s and her kids’ things to Danny’s house. They, of course, spent Thanksgiving, as well as every waking moment they could together. After the turkey, dressing, and other trimmings were eaten and leftovers given to the homeless, they packed and boarded their flight with the kids. The day of their wedding was finally almost there.

Angel was completely bored at her bachelorette party. She sat there watching her friends, family, and sister-in-law eating, drinking, and being merry. She went outside for some air, and as she stood on the balcony, she breathed in the fresh, Smoky Mountain air. The air was crisp and cold, and light snow started to fall. As she looked around at the natural beauty, she caught herself wondering why the hell Danny would choose rock stardom over all of that. She was glad he did, though. She probably wouldn’t have met him otherwise.
She jumped startled when one of her cousins called her inside to see the stripper. She shook her head because she didn’t WANT the stripper. THEY did! She leaned in the doorway and briefly watched “Professor Goodbody” take off his cap and gown while jiggling his twig and berries for the cheering ladies. Danny’s and Angel’s moms joined Angel outside on the balcony, and they all turned their backs away from what was happening inside. The two devout older women were against the stripper as well and were disgusted when they almost saw the young man strip down to just a little black thong. Angel just wasn’t interested in seeing someone who wasn’t her husband. She wouldn’t even want to see him jiggling like that!
Danny was equally bored at his bachelor party. He and Angel tried to talk everyone out of trying to be “traditional” with the parties. They would have been happy with a wedding shower or something. For some reason, though, everyone thought they needed that “one last night of freedom” crap that everyone else seems to conform to. When all the guys (save for Angel’s and Danny’s fathers) hooted and hollered for the strippers, Sasha and Pepper, that popped out of a giant gift box, Danny rolled his eyes and left the room. The fact that the most gorgeous man in the room had just walked out didn’t escape the attention of the dancers, but they did what they were paid for. He went to his bedroom and closed and locked the door.
He distantly heard one of the strippers ask where the lucky groom was, and he ignored the knocks on the door. He pretended not to hear his friend falsely explaining to the dancer that he was shy and having nervous jitters. When the friend and the performer saw the strip of light go out from under his door, an indicator that Danny turned his lamp off, they got the hint and went away. She was especially disappointed. She would have done a bump and grind boogie on him for free! Whenever she did bachelor parties, Sasha usually did a lap dance for the groom. She never had the feeling of being dismissed or rejected before, and when she saw the long-haired rocker with the big, brown eyes and dimples to die for, she thought for sure, she could break him down fairly quickly.
When he walked away, she dismissed it, at first, as him just going to the bathroom. When he didn’t return, she asked where the lucky groom was. There was a chair set up in the middle of the room for bursa escort her to do her lap dance for him, and he was someone she really wanted to get close to. She mostly tried to stay professional, but sometimes, she would get lucky and bed a “happy” groom the night before his wedding. In her line of work, she’s performed for country musicians, rockers, and even some soul artists. The rockers, though, were usually the easiest, so being rejected by him, kind of hurt. Pepper noticed the look of disappointment on her co-worker’s face when she was forced to admit defeat. Her new target didn’t want her. Poor little bitch; served her right! Pepper smiled inwardly at the snub.
Chad, a.k.a. “Prof. Goodbody” was in a similar mental predicament. He was usually sent to drunken bachelorette parties with rowdy damsels yelling for him to take it ALL off, and the bride was typically the rowdiest one! What the hell was up with the chocolate chick on the balcony who everyone said was the bride? Why was she not checking him out? The fact that he could turn on a woman who was about to be married, sometimes to the point that he could hit it from the back the night before she took her vows, turned him on. He wasn’t a stripper just for the money. Being able to bag a chick that was about to devote her life to someone else, and finding her to be more of a sleaze than even he was, was a huge rush!
The innocent looking chicks generally surprised him the most. They frequently grabbed him by the wrist, and he’d get at least a sample of what the groom would be getting the next night. So, the fact that the pretty lady with the big brown eyes didn’t even want to look at him knocked him down a peg. He wasn’t as irresistible as he thought he was. He and his sister Sasha had a bet going. Dancing for the bride and groom were givens, but the one who could get laid by someone at the parties would have to surrender their night’s pay to the winner. The one who scored the bride or groom would get $500 extra. By the time the muscle-bound jerk got done for the night, he couldn’t even get Angel to look his way. She came in out of the cold, and while looking down, she retreated to her bedroom and closed and locked the door.
When Angel heard one of her cousins tell her how rude it was to not at least say hello to the guy who had come all that way to display his chiseled body to her, Angel replied “Tell him I said ‘what’s up!'” They had her phone, so she couldn’t even call Danny. Danny had the same dilemma, as his best friend was holding his phone hostage. They missed each other terribly, and the fact that they had to spend the night apart was torture. They didn’t know that they were the secret subjects of bets between two sibling strippers. They didn’t care that they may have hurt the fragile egos of the exhibitionist dancers. All they cared about was the fact that the next day, they would be exchanging vows, and Angel would be Mrs. Daniel Estrada Sanchez.
Danny and Angel respected exotic dancers. Living in Las Vegas, they knew a few, and even went to see their friends perform a time or two. Most dancers did what they did because it was good money. It paid the bills and kept food on the table, and clothes on their (and in some instances, their kids) backs. It takes a great amount of courage to bare your body, and dance provocatively for strangers. You can’t beat that kind of money, though, to pay your bills, your student loans, or your rent, and still, have money left over to save. It was the ones that used their looks and bodies to entice would-be brides and grooms they stayed away from. They didn’t really judge Chad or Sasha, they just opted to walk away from something that could turn sticky or complicated.
At the end of the night, Sasha and Pepper met Chad downstairs. Pepper noticed that the fraternal twins wore identical scowls on their faces. She had to walk away because she couldn’t stop herself from laughing at them both. They refused to see the wrong in bedding other people’s fiancees. They couldn’t admit the folly of messing with people’s relationships. The only good thing was that sometimes, the bride and/or groom found out, and declined to marry the cheating would-be spouse. It wasn’t exactly Karma catching up with Chad and Sasha yet, but the fact that they were rejected was hilarious to Pepper. At least they could keep their pay. Somehow, though, Pepper knew that was no consolation for them.

Angel seemed to float down the aisle in her lavender wedding gown with lavender colored rhinestones. Danny’s small daughter and niece (who almost looked like twins) were the flower girls, and Angel’s daughters were bride’s maids. Danny’s son was the ring bearer, and his nephew wanted to be the one to carry the train of Angel’s gown. Danny smiled and a tear fell from his eye as he watched his bride glide down the aisle toward him. Her dad smiled proudly, and her mom and his dad beamed as they prepared to lead their respective in-laws in the vows they were to make escort bayan to each other. Angel was thankful that she adamantly refused mascara because she shed a tear or two during the ceremony. She was thankful that she managed to calm down before she had to speak, or she’d have blubbered her way through the vows.
The wedding was more than beautiful. All of their family and friends were there, some of which were renowned rocker friends of Danny’s. At the reception, they gently smooshed small pieces of cake into each other’s mouth and kissed the icing from the corners. The wedding was at sunset, and the reception carried on a little longer than originally intended. The first dance was to a power ballad that Angel had been planning to use for maybe ten years. Saigon Kick’s “Love Is on the Way” played as Danny and Angel danced as if they were the only two people in the room. Family, friends, and even their kids were momentarily lost as they glided together on the dance floor in a rocker’s waltz.
They started off on their honeymoon around eight that night. When Danny and Angel walked into their honeymoon suite at a gorgeous beachfront hotel a few hours later, they grew a little nervous. Danny carried his pretty bride across the threshold and gave her a sweet kiss. He set Angel gently on her feet, and she looked around the room in complete awe. As she looked around, her eyes caught sight of her gorgeous groom, who was so perfect in his black tux with his hair flowing over his shoulders.
The love Danny felt for Angel was obvious when he gazed at her. He looked at her as if she were a rare jewel that he had found. To him, she was a lost treasure that was set aside only for him. Had it not been for Evan, he probably would have strolled right past her, never realizing that his destiny passed him by. She walked slowly to him, and he slid his arms around her small waist. Without a word, their lips were soon interlocked in the sweetest, most passionate kiss. They kissed for what seemed like hours, breathing in their love for one another. Danny slowly broke the kiss and reluctantly let Angel go.
They hadn’t yet changed out of their wedding attire. Angel turned so that her new husband could unzip her gown, and she walked to the bathroom to shower. When the door closed, she slid the soft lace off and hung it behind the door. They planned things that way because they knew the waiting would let their passion build. They had already spent one night apart, so the anticipation of being together as husband and wife would build them up to an explosive crescendo. Angel smiled thinking of her gorgeous hubby waiting for her in the next room. She still couldn’t quite believe that they were married, and if her alarm clock sounded and awoke her from her dream, she’d attack the damned thing so viciously, it would think it was a cursed person, and wish for death!
After her shower, Angel walked into the bedroom wearing one of the fluffy hotel robes. She wanted to wait to seduce her husband with her sexy gown. Danny was already rock hard for his lady, but he somehow managed to walk to the bathroom. His obvious “tent” led the way. When Angel saw the state he was in, it was all she could do to not fall to her knees in front of him and take him into her hungry mouth. Her mouth literally watered for him, and she never thought she’d see the day that she craved to suck a cock.
Angel’s self-control was stronger than she thought. When she heard the shower running, she dropped the robe to reveal a long, white satin slip with lace bosoms. She stood in their candlelit room staring out the window at the waves crashing against the white, sandy beach. She was nervous because it would be their first time together as husband and wife. She didn’t want to disappoint him, though she hadn’t when they made love all the previous months. She didn’t want to be “cold” or “average” just because they said, “I do.”
In the shower, Danny felt as apprehensive as his wife. He didn’t want his baby to be bored with him. He wanted to be able to make her body reach heights of ecstasy that he’d brought her to so many times before. He stepped out of the shower and dried the warm water from his hard body. He put his towel in the hamper, took a breath, opened the bathroom door and flipped off the light.
Danny saw Angel standing across the room. To him, she looked like the most perfect of God’s angels, though her back was still to him. She was still intently watching the crashing ocean outside the picture window. He slowly walked to her.It was almost as if he was afraid she’d fly away if he approached too quickly. Angel’s breathing got quicker as she felt her husband drawing closer, and she shivered as if a virgin awaiting her first time.
Danny stood very close behind her, and glided his fingers slowly down her arms, relishing her satiny flesh, silky hair, and soft scent. Angel’s skin seemed to tingle from his touch, and she leaned back against his warm, naked body. He brushed her hair off her shoulders and pressed his warm lips against her neck just below her ear. She drew in a shaky breath and exhaled with a low moan. He slowly slid his hands up to her shoulders causing the spaghetti straps of her gown to fall, and she let the soft material fall in a pool around her feet.
